TERMS AND CONDITIONS GYM
Contract terms for unlimited memberships, temporary memberships and one-time/10-times cards.
1. UNLIMITED MEMBERSHIP
You can become a member by purchasing the product JPJ JÄSENYYS in our online store. The membership is valid until further notice, it is personal and cannot be transferred to another person. Becoming a member requires paying a monthly fee to JPJ Liikuntakeskus. The age limit for purchasing this product is 16 years.
Membership is always personal.
The membership includes unlimited use of the gym, depending on opening hours, but equipment instruction and personal trainer services are not included in the price, unless otherwise stated.
The member must notify JPJ of a change in name, address, phone number, email address and payment card information. You can make these changes yourself via the app or our website.
The member must follow the instructions for use of the equipment displayed in the gym at JPJ Liikuntakeskus and other guidance, the working out is done at the member's own responsibility. The member should also note that JPJ does not always have staff on site. JPJ is not responsible for personal injury, material damage, or compensation for the member's lost property. The member is responsible for his own insurance.
MEMBERSHIP FEES
A member who has purchased a membership that is valid for the time being is responsible for paying the membership fee by the due date. In the case of a minor, the guardian is responsible for paying the membership fee.
PAYMENT METHOD CARD CHARGE
Membership is paid for in our online store for the first one-month period. When making a purchase, the customer enters their payment card information into your payment system, we will automatically charge the future monthly payments from this card on the payment due date. The due date of the payment is determined according to the date of purchase of the membership.
If you want to pay membership fees from the 2nd membership month onwards with ePassi, Smartum, Edenred, the payment must be made on site within our customer service hours before said debit date of the payment period.
If the payment of the charge does not go through with the payment card according to the information you have provided, you will receive a notice of this in your e-mail. If, despite the notices, we cannot get the charge made, your right of passage and your contract will be terminated immediately.
Agreements valid for the time being, where the method of payment is card debiting, can be terminated at any time without a notice period. You can cancel easily in our online store or on our website under ''omat tiedot '' (my information). Your membership and your right to enter ends at the end of the season you have paid for.
INVOICING AS PAYMENT METHOD
(no longer for sale, membership purchase date before 19.2.2024)
The first one-month period has been paid on the day of purchase of the membership, no separate initiation fees have been added to the price. The shortest possible membership period is 2 calendar months.
The membership invoice is sent by email every month and must be paid by bank transfer using the information found on the invoice. If you want to pay membership invoices with ePassi, Smartum, Edenred, the payment must be made on site within our customer service hours before due date of the invoice.
JPJ Liikuntakeskus has the right to transfer unpaid membership fees to a debt collection agency for collection, and JPJ can also collect the costs incurred from the member for collection. If the member receives a payment reminder or collection letter from the collection agency, he must make the payments in accordance with the payment instructions provided by the collection agency.
Memberships valid for the time being, where invoicing has been chosen as the payment method, can only be terminated by termination. Termination of the contract must be done either on site when the customer service is open or by e-mail. Failure to pay an invoice is not a notice of termination. Termination takes effect after the next full billing period, which is 1 calendar month.
JPJ has the option, at its discretion, to suspend or terminate the customer's membership due to non-payment of membership fees, or if the customer violates the terms of the membership agreement as well as safety and order rules or due to inappropriate behavior. JPJ also has the right to suspend or terminate the contract if it is discovered that a member is training under the influence of performance-enhancing substances, alcohol or drugs.
Membership cannot be put on hold except due to pregnancy, military service or serious illness, in which case the customer must present either a medical certificate or an invitation certificate. The change always comes into effect after the end of the next full billing period.
2. TEMPORARY MEMBERSHIPS, 10-TIME CARDS AND ONE-TIME CARDS
All our temporary gym products can be purchased in our online store and on site. The age limit for these products is 13 years and all our gym memberships ja cards are always personal and cannot be shared with another person.
10 -TIMES CARDS are valid for 12 months and entitle them to ten (10) visits to the gym.
10 KORTTI AAMU = 10 -TIMES CARD MORNING you can use our gym on weekdays (Mon-Fri) before 4 p.m.
10 KORTTI = 10 -TIMES CARD you can use our gym every day of the week according to our opening hours.
The validity of the card ends when all visits have been used or when the validity period expires. 10 card is paid in full at the time of purchase and the validity period starts from the day the card is purchased.
MÄÄRÄAIKAINEN 1 KK, 6 KK, 12 KK = TEMPORARY CARDS 1 MONTH, 6 MONTH and 12 MONTH are fixed-term contracts that expire automatically after the end of the term. Temporary gym cards are paid in full at the time of purchase and the validity period starts from the day the card is purchased. Termination in the middle of the deadline is not possible.
KERTAKÄYNTI = ONE-TIME CARD entitles you to one (1) visit to our gym. The one-time visit must be used within 48 hours of purchase.
Temporary cards and one-time cards are personal and cannot be shared with another person.

3. THE ACCESS TAG
The access tag (mobile application or access tag) is ALWAYS personal.
The access tag must always be with you when entering the gym and it must not be used to let anyone else into the gym.
When the front door is locked, each customer must come through the front door with their own access tag.
No other persons may be allowed through the front door at the same time the door is opened!
We have recording security cameras in our premises.
The loss of the access tag must be immediately reported to the address; jpj(at)jpjliikuntakeskus.fi.
If the access tag is used by another person or misused in some other way, and its loss has not been reported in writing, a written notice will follow and a contract fine of 100 eur/visit will be charged to the customer, and this may also lead to the cancellation of the contract.
JPJ Liikuntakeskus Oy reserves the right to price changes and JPJ has the right to unilaterally change these general terms and conditions. You can find the current prices and contract terms on the JPJ sports center's website. If JPJ has to close all or part of the gym due to maintenance measures, loss-making business, bankruptcy or restrictions imposed by the state, JPJ is not obliged to compensate the customer for any services/products paid in advance.
